Erupsi Gunung Kelud yang terjadi pada malam hari, Kamis, 13 Februari 2014. Gunung Kelud terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Gunung Kelud termasuk dalam Stratovolcano  dengan karakterisktik letusan eksplosif. Sebelumnya telah terjadi 3 erupsi gunung kelud yang tercatat yaitu pada tahun 1919. 1990, dan 2007.

Peningkatan aktivitas Gunung Kelud terjadi pada akhir 2013. Pada 10 Februari 2014, Gunung Kelud dinaikan statusnya pada 10 Februari 2014  menjadi siaga, dan pada 13 Februari 2014 dinaikan statusnya menadi awas. Erupsi Gunung Kelud pada 13 Februari 2014 menyebabkan hujan abu vulkanik di sekitar daerah Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah, dan mengarah ke arah Barat Jawa.

Letusan 2014 telah dideteksi oleh PVMBG dan ditanggapi dengan peningkatan status menjadi Waspada (level II). Pada tanggal 10 Februari status meningkat menjadi Siaga (Level III), dan persiapan-persiapan mengenai kebencanaan telah mulai dilakukan. Kawasan seputar 5 km dari titik puncak kawah telah disterilkan dari kegiatan manusia. Pada tanggal 13 Februari pukul 21 diumumkan status bahaya tertinggi, Awas (Level IV), sehingga radius 10 km dari puncak harus dikosongkan dari manusia. Belum sempat pengungsian dilakukan, pada pukul 22.50 telah terjadi letusan tipe ledakan (eksplosif).

                Oleh karena itu, kami segenap keluarga besar PT. TATA GUNA PATRIA mengucapkan turut berbela sungkawa atas terjadinya bencana alam dan atas kehilangan yang saudara-saudara kami rasakan akibat bencana tersebut. Semoga ini menjadikan kita semakin kuat dalam beribadah dan beramal kebaikan. Kelud Eruption 

Kelud eruption occurred at Thursday Night, February 13^th, 2014 . Mountain Kelud is located in the province of East Java . characteristic of Mt. Kelud  listed in the stratovolcano with an explosive eruption . Previous recorded eruptions have occurred 3 times in 1919 . 1990, and 2007 .

Increasing activity of Mt. Kelud occurred in late 2013. On February 10^th, 2014, its status was raised on February 10^th, 2014 into standby, and on February 13^th, 2014 was elevated into alert status. Kelud eruption on February 13, 2014 led volcanic ashes in the vicinity of East Java, Central Java, and leads in the direction of West Java.

The eruption in 2014 was detected by PVMBG and responded with an increase in status to Alert (level II). On February 10, increased to standby status (Level III), and the preparations of the disaster has begun. Regions around 5 km from the cusp of the crater has been sterilized of human activity. On February 13, at 21, announced the status of supreme danger, Caution (Level IV), so that the radius of 10 km from the summit to be emptied of humans. Not yet had the displacement, at 22:50 there has been an explosion type eruptions (explosive).
